I bought 1 as a gift to my mother-in-law. Her sister ordered 2 for her children. My brother and sister-in-law ordered 1 each. Everybody liked it. It is because it is quiet, cool and economical(than using A/C). I would highly recommend it for personal use. You probably need a bigger model for family use. I have been an evaporative cooler fan for years but some brands are costly but gives the same effect. But don't have too high expectation. A/C is still cooler but this lower the temperature by some degrees without having to pay high energy bill. Again, I would recommend it for personal use only.Customer Review: Good for my bunny

I actually bought this for my 20 pound rabbit since I had to move him from inside the house into a large hutch in the garage. The unit is sitting in front of an open window and does quite well. He lies in front of it pretty much all day letting the cooler air blow on him. I would agree that it produces air about 10 degrees cooler than the air surrounding it, and it really needs to be blowing directly on you to feel the cooling effect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that needs a little cooling. It is better than a fan due to it blowing colder air. It does what it should for the price and my bunny and I are quite pleased. We live in the Dallas, Texas area where it gets humid so you can even use it in the south.Customer Review: Good price and does the job great!

Was originally looking for a in room air conditioner but decided to get the cooler because of the power savings and the humidifying factor. I live in Phoenix, Az and the air gets so hot and dry that this unit was a perfect fit. It even comes with a remote!Customer Review: Good value, ok cooling

I purchased this cooler hoping that it would do it's job because I live in an extremely dry climate. I was a bit disappointed that it took a long time and didn't smell good. It lowered the temp 4 degrees at 25% humidity. However, they're not joking when they say it costs less to operate than a 60-watt lightbulb. Also, the air it blew out was icy when I had it set on the slowest fan setting. The problem is that the low fan speed is really slow. There is also a high and medium settings, although high isn't very cool. In the end I just settled for medium.
All in all this product is a great value but the cooling isn't so great.

Helps for those who can't sleep when it's hot. Has directional movement and ca oscillate back and forth so if only one person wants it blowing on them you can set it to do that and the other person still gets the effects of the cool air! Don't have to run the noisy whole house fan as often. This product is very quiet~
