Customer Review: Made in the USA?

Don't waste your time on this piece of junk. The picture on the box clearly shows hanging file folders, but they are not included. Worse, there's a warning sticker inside the lid advising that the H4100 should NOT be used to store combustibles! Aren't paper files combustible? I guess that's why they don't give you the file folders. Additionally, the latch was jammed with (what looked like) furnace cement. It took ten minutes of careful scraping and several squirts of WD-40 just to get the latch to work. Then, I noticed that inside bottom of the safe was cracked. Couldn't touch it though, because I might have cut myself on several inches of razor-sharp mold flash. Another few minutes cutting that away with a razor knife. Shame on the people who put this thing together. The final insult - this piece of junk is allegedly made in the USA. If so, God help us!Customer Review: Mine is Great but I have a 4100C

I read all these bad reviews and I must have the only good one around. I have had no problems with mine, it works so good I bought 2 more. I should note I bought mine from a Sam wholesale store and it is a 4100C so they may have fixed all the described problems with the C model. The one I have is sturdy all around including the lock and hinges. I would recommend this for anyone for secure storage against fire and water, obviously since it can be picked up and carried (not easily since no real good hand holds, I assume to prevent easy grab and go) that you can open it in time but this safe is NOT a cake walk as described in the other reviews. Plenty of space for normal amount of household info.
