We had jewelry taken by who knows who. We had used a semilar Safe on cruise ships and knew how easy they were to use.
I like this one, because it had a key as well as the buttons just in case and the key is kept away from the area. It is easy to open and you don't have to enter a code to lock it, just shut the door and turn the lock. So it is fast to use too. It was simple to install and came with the screws, although we used more than the two they sent.

I did receive the safe in about four days. The safe was easy to set up and appears to work as advertised. For what it is designed to do, it works well. This is not a super secure safe but rather a lock box that can be attached to a shelf or wall. I am sure a determined burglar would have no problem breaking into this safe but it does offer protection for papers and small items. The combination can be set to use up to 8 digits of your choice and has a key back up. Good value for the money.Customer Review: Good for the price

SentrySafe X055 Security Safe is a good safe to buy for the money. I purchased it for my son's college dorm room and it is the right size to hold money, jewelry, ipod, etc. We had been looking for one with a touchpad so we didn't have to carry a key around all the time. The safe arrived promptly and in good condition. I inserted the batteries, checked the spare keys, programmed the combination and tested everything in about 20 min without difficulty. It took a little longer to fasten the safe to a concrete wall, but that was also straightforward. As noted by others, this is not designed to be a highly secure unit. It is not waterproof or fireproof. It is mainly designed to discourage children, guests or a casual thief from accessing the contents. It has now been about a month since I installed the safe, and it operates flawlessly once every day with no sign of the battery issues mentioned by others. The unit came with a plastic corner piece that keeps the door from slamming metal on metal. I recommend fastening this in place with a drop of epoxy so it doesn't fall off and get lost. I am pleased with the purchase and feel that I got my money's worth. I expect that I would buy another safe from the same company.
