Tools and Hardware Reviews of Serta 2-1/2-Pound Memory Foam Contour PillowCustomer Review: Nice but too low Summary: 4 Stars
I have never owned a memory foam pillow before so I don't know if it's a regular sizes for all of them. But I found it to be very low. I have a wide shoulders and the pillow didn't support my head very well. My guess is that it's probably better to get some of the other ones (heavier) like 3 or 4 lbs. they might be a little bit bigger.
The foam feels very soft and comfortable, though.
Customer Review: Too hard Summary: 1 Stars
This pillow did not sink with my body weight as I expected "memory foam" to do. I bought a different one at Target for the same price and it feels great.
Customer Review: a pillow that won't go flat Summary: 5 Stars
I was getting really sick of going out and buying a new pillow every couple of months because the last one had turned as flat as a pancake. I bought a more expensive standard pillow and it flattened out even quicker than the cheap ones! My mom has had a memory foam pillow for a couple of years now, and she says hers is still just as good as when she bought it, so I thought I'd give it a try. Well, I've been sleeping on it for about a week now, and I like it, but it's going to take some getting used to. I prefer a softer pillow, but I don't like waking up with a headache from lack of neck support. This pillow has the neck support, but it's not a cuddly pillow. If you slam your head into it, it kind of feels like hitting a wall. If you give it a few seconds, your head sinks into it and it's perfect. If you move around in your sleep a lot like me, the momentary firmness every time you move may take some getting used to. As far as the neck contour goes, it really does seem to correctly support the spine. However, if you are not used to a contoured pillow, it takes some time to adjust to sleeping on the pillow correctly. I keep waking up to find my head diagonally across the pillow and the contour in the wrong spot.
Overall, I would say this is an excellent pillow in terms of longevity and support. It may take some getting used to, but I think it will be worth it.
Customer Review: comfortable but thin Summary: 4 Stars
A decent "budget" memory foam pillow, but on the thin side. It's lightweight, and other than for back sleeping, is uncomfortable by itself: eg, I can't sleep on my side comfortably on it.
So then how did it rate 4 stars? It works VERY well layered with a down pillow, providing a pliable bottom layer. For a bottom pillow, poly-fill is be too hard, a down pillow on the bottom gets lumpy and slides out. Non-ideal. A down-filled pillow on top of this thin contour is just right, the contour holds it in place, the down adds some malleability and thickness.
This contour pillow is also light enough I'd consider traveling with it; I've been looking for a pillow suitable to take on trips, since hotels always seem to have the most awfully uncomfortable poly-fill pillows.
Customer Review: love it Summary: 5 Stars
My neck has not hurt again since I started sleeping on this pillow. It supports me perfectly.
