Customer Review: A nice, inexpensive rack but...oh that assembly.

This rack is relatively high capacity, compact, inexpensive and stackable. When i received it as i assembled it i learned a few things like... Do not try to assemble this unit without a strong, variable speed drill. It requires force to get the screws in, even though it is predrilled, and there are a lot of them. A hand held screwdriver won't do it, you will need a drill. i used a 1/2" variable speed plug electric drill and that worked fine.
Also, the unit comes with an allen head nut, however, it is soft metal and strips after three screws. You will need a high quality allen head nut driver that mates with the screws. Luckily i had a set and found one that fit.
Watch out when you assemble, the legs have an outside and an inside.
The pieces for anchoring to the wall were missing. Not a problem for me as i do not intend to stack, however if you want to stack two units, make sure you have those missing pieces. Finally, if you are installing on a hard floor the leveling screws work fine, but they don't really help (and are most likely not needed) on a carpeted floor.
If installation was simpler and the anchor parts were not missing i would have given the rack a 5 as it does just what it is supposed to, and is compact enough for even a small apartment. Also, assembly with a hardened allen head driver and a nice power drill is a snap, but if you try it with handheld tools, as they say in Brooklyn, "fugedaboudit".
