Check out the online reviews. This one only removes 36% of chlorine (probably why they don't quote the NSF ratings on their website. Plus, the carbon in the actually leaves stains on the bottom of my shower, which can't be good for my skin.
I used this for two days. Waste of money. Buy the Sprite, it rates at 99% removal and has NSF ratings...probably why you can find it at Home Depot or Lowes.

I have really hard water, and this made such a difference. My hair gets way less frizzy -- skin is less dried out (I have dry skin, this helped) and even the soap goes down the drain faster! Less soap scum! I am buying a refill now - I am a bit late with the review...

Have used the Aquasana for years and it makes a HUGE difference in the quality of our very hard (and limey) water. It has helped improve my chronically dry skin, makes my very fine hair more manageable, and even makes the shower easier to clean as it prevents hard water buildup. I recently got lazy about changing the filter and started to get a crusty buildup in my hair that couldn't be removed even with a harsh clarifying shampoo. After successfully removing the buildup by using a process recommended for removing PAINT, I can guarantee that I'll never forget to change the filter again!Customer Review: Cheaper Alternative

The iron in my water from a shallow well is so bad I absolutely won't drink it, use it for coffee, or cook with it. Showering in it was always disturbing as well, wondering what else might be in it and not liking the way my hair felt. Cleaning the tub and shower was very difficult as well and needed to be done alot. I absolutely Love my shower filter. My hair feels softer and cleaner and cleaning is a breeze now. The only downfall is the decreased pressure, but its a small price to pay for such an increase in water quality.
