An excellent "must buy" for anyone selling their homes on their own. Easy for (most) agents to use...we've had one prima donna agent who couldn't figure out the little door on the side slides open when you enter the combination.
It may take a little while (2-3 uses) for the home owner to remember how to work with the schackle versus the side door combination but it's very easy to do when you follow the directions.
Tip 1: Change the combination for each agent showing your home. Use the last four digits of their phone number...which makes it easy for them to remember. It's also s good for security measure to change the combination after each showing.
Tip 2: Set the four digit combination when you place it on your door handle in a way that the agent will only have to flip one number on the dial. So, if you set the combination to be "4025", have the four numbers showing on the dial to be "3025". That way the agent turns the first number from "3" to "4" and they can slide the key door open. That makes it easier on the agent. Getting them and their clients into the house faster is a good idea if it is cold or rainy outside.
