Customer Review: A Pump for Camping

I am a Bluegrass music fan and travel to several Bluegrass festivals in my older model Coachmen Motor Home. Though it has a very good Onan Generator on board, I carry along a Honda model 3000is Inverter. It is quieter and uses less fuel. To refuel the Inverter it is normally required that one would lift the gas can and pour into the top mounted tank. I discovered a couple of years ago it is easier and much less dangerous to refill from a gas can sitting next to the Inverter using a battery powered pump similar to this one. Festival season has not begun this year, so I have not used the pump yet, but it should work just fine for my purpose. There is, however, one small point that concerns me. Upon removing the pump from the box I noticed that there is a completely collapsed section of the hose. I am able to squeeze the hose from the side and the flat area will open, but an experiece I had with a similarly equiped hose leaves me a bit worried. The previous pump that had a collapsed place actually cracked apart at that spot within the first few uses causing gas to spill and making that pump useless. I am hoping such will not be the case with this pump.
