Tools and Hardware Reviews of Silent Feet - Anti-vibration Pads for Washing Machines and Dryers (Gen 2)Customer Review: Fantastic product Summary: 5 Stars
This saved my sanity and my washing machine. We've had a front loading HE machine in a second floor laundry room for a few years now. Everytime it was loaded with something heavier than baby clothing, it would shake and vibrate half the house. It was so bad that it cracked some of the plaster in the room next to the laundry room. I was considering selling the washing machine and buying a top loader, but decided to give these a chance first. After installing the feet (took just a few minutes, would have been faster if I had someone to help me) I loaded the machine with some jeans to see what it would do. This has COMPLETELY eliminated the house shaking. I highly recommend to anyone trying to solve this problem.
Customer Review: Good product, but not miraculous Summary: 4 Stars
The feet were incredibly easy to install and they did significantly reduce the noise and vibration from my machine. They do now, however, eliminate the noise and vibration. If you have a serious problem with noise/vibration, then these probably would be worth the money. If your problem is just moderate, then you might not feel you've gotten your money's worth.
Customer Review: I am shocked how well they worked Summary: 5 Stars
I have a LG front loader. I live in an old pier and beam house. It used to shake the whole house when in a high spin cycle. I balanced it out and still did not fix it. These feet totally eliminated the vibrations. I mean nothing now. Worth every penny.
Customer Review: Just what I was looking for Summary: 5 Stars
This is just what I was looking for and it works just as described. Installation was a breeze and there has been a noticeable decrease in the vibration and noise from my washer. It's simple, easy and their small size keeps them hidden out of sight. Now I've purchased an extra set as a gift for my friend at work who complains about her washer.
Customer Review: Let your washer go into hyperspace and don't take you with it Summary: 5 Stars
Whether or not these pads work for you seems to depend on your specific washer model and floor situation, so I'm giving you my setup: I have an LG washer/dyer combo unit in a pre- war Manhattan walkup. I did not have tremendous vibration problems to begin with, as the washer sits close to a load- bearing wall and I wouldn't dare let it spin on High. Still, on Medium the floor would vibrate and the items in the fridge next to it would rattle. I figured that couldn't be good for the building or my neighborly relations.
Enter the Silent Feet. I didn't expect much after reading another reviewer's verdict with his LG combo unit. But, in my case, the appropriate word is "wow". The vibrations are gone! Everything is serene in the fridge again and if I close my eyes and stand next to the washer, I can barely tell that it's spinning. The machine is just shaking away by itself (a lot more so than before since it's no longer connected to the floor) and it actually becomes blurry at 1200 rpm (20Hz), like in a SciFi movie before things disappear into subspace.
Oh, and forty bucks - it seems a lot for some rubber pads, but since the product worked so well for me and they give 10 years warranty, I think it's fair. Also I had looked into an industrial solution before, but dropped it after I realized that those pads or mounts easily go for $400 - a piece!
