Tools and Hardware Reviews of Silver CHROME finish rings S hook Shower Curtain Hooks (12-pk.)Customer Review: Okay with a heavy shower curtain. Summary: 4 Stars
We bought these hooks because they look a thousand times better than the plastic ones. At first we only had a clear liner for our shower curtain because ours had not come in yet. They were a pain with only that liner on. Everytime you moved the curtain four or more would come flying off and even though they are very easy to put back on it was very annoying. We just recieved our new shower curtain and added that to the liner and now they are great. With an actualy shower curtain and liner it holds them down and they haven't fallen off yet and they look terrific I would recommond them to anyone.
Customer Review: Pretty, but with a poor work ethic! Summary: 1 Stars
Who needs a shower curtain to get your day off to a frustrating start? Not me! These hooks jump off the rod with no provocation, and tangle together like wire coat hangers. (Oh, NO!) Don't buy 'em, no matter how pretty they are.
Customer Review: Pure and simple garbage hooks Summary: 1 Stars
If I could give these badly designed hooks a minus 28, I would. They have caused me to become soo frustrated, especially when my wife DOESN'T GET IT. She bought the curtains and they came with it - soo naturally she thinks I must do something wrong. I turned the rod around, hoping that the "bump" was causing the problem, then I took the hooks off and when you hang ANYTHING the open end of hook is "waiting" to jump off the rod, regardless of the thickness or the orientation of the rod. I suggested that "we" get new plastic hooks that surround the rod and she (my wife) says they look junky. YES, these hooks LOOK GREAT but "only in the shower" if you get my drift. They are non-functional.
Customer Review: Rust after 3-4 months and fall off rod constantly Summary: 1 Stars
I figured since these shower hooks were chrome that they would be fairly resistant to rust, but unfortunately thats not the case. I bought these back in April 2010 and it is now late August and 9 out of 12 of the hooks are rusting, some worse than others. Yeah, im sure they can be CLR'd, but I shouldnt have to do this every 3-4 months. On top of that they fall off every time you go to get in the shower. My advice is buy different shower hooks... maybe stainless steel?
Customer Review: Rusted Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased these shower hooks approximately 2 years ago for my guest bathroom which is rarely used. After a year I have some hooks which have rusted, some worst than others. I anticipate having to replace them in the near future if I can't remedy the rust problem. I made this purchase because I liked the clean stainless still look but I am disappointed about how the hooks have stood up to in this limited used bathroom.
