Tests all types of commonly used batteries including 9 Volt batteries. A little tricky to lift the arm up and line up the battery you are testing. So, if you have arthritis or a hand tremor this may not be the best device for you. Self powered so no battery required for operation. I bought several items together so i was able to use the super saver shipping option and not pay on shipping to make the price resonable. The tester is accurate enough to let you know whether a battery is good, low, or bad.

I had been searching in stores for years for an inexpensive battery tester like this. So you can understand my excitement when I found this one. It was great for the firs 2 months then all of a sudden it just stopped functioning. MAybe I used to much since I had a pile of batteries to check (and it paid for itself considering al the batteries I found useable), but do wish it had lasted a lot longer. Was going to get oen for work, but not now.Customer Review: Great battery tester!

This is a great little device. I have used it on both rechargeable and standard batteries of many sizes. Like a lot of people we have a "battery bin" that has several used and new batteries of different sizes, and this tester helped me identify those that were bad and needed to be disposed, and which rechargeables needed to be recharded. At the price, you can't beat this little tester. Great product!Customer Review: Great buy

For the price, I think this is a very good buy. Sometimes it says that batteries are good, but some toys still won't work with these "good" batteries. However, I do find it to be accurate. It doesn't work for 9 volt batteries, but does for AAA up to D's.Customer Review: Great for the price

I looked at a few battery testers before buying this one based on the reviews on Amazon. This is a great battery tester for the price, except for one minor flaw. 3/4 of the dial is the Red ("Replace") zone, and 1/4 of the dial to the right is the Green ("Good") zone. Which means that it really doesn't distinguish too well between batteries that are fully charged and those that are about to run out of juice. I wish the display was a little more granular. But, all in all, great for the price.
