The Dialer unit AD-433S went out in 6 months. Skylink sent a replacement, now the replacement has gone out (absolutely no power/dead in the water) and Skylink says "our replacement units do not come with any warranty". Be warned.Customer Review: Does what it is suppsed to do

Works as advertised, If you want to have an alarm system without the monitoring fees, this one will do it.
I have it call my cell phone and a neighbor. If someone breaks in, I'll be informed and my neighbor can verify visually and call the police. I also have a third dialed option if my neighbor is away.
It IS a wireless system, but note: The main panel and dialer require outlets to plug in to. The hardest part for me was figuring out the placement without wires running everywhere. The AC adapter has ample cord length however.
I ordered an extra remote for my trusted neighbor to be able to shut the thing down in case of a false alarm.
I almost forgot, the motion sensor works well also. I rigged it in my shed. Having 4 cats kinda makes an in home motion sensor a no go.

I purchased this based on Amazon reviews. It works in theory but not practice. Its main downfall is the range that the sensors can communicate with the main keypad. Put a wall in the way and no joy. So unless you live in a one room apartment or only want to secure part of your living space - don't bother with this. The manufacturers support operation is pretty non existent. I have since gone with a used ADT system (without the monthly monitoring), a generic dialer and generic sensor that picks up the ADT chime sound.Customer Review: Don't buy this!!

This alarm was purchased for a small business. I had no system and had two consecutive break ins. No store in our area carries alarm system, so I had to shop online.
The Skylink SC-1000 system is the perfect size for our little store. The books of instruction are daunting until you realize each one has English, Spanish and French. After skimming the book for the alarm, it was easily installed and tested. The phone dialer was even simpler.
A great value for a small all-inclusive alarm system. And it's loud. The only thing I may add is an outside speaker since the police are two blocks away.
