This is a great item, but the manufacturer produces two of these. Each one operates on a different signal and Amazon isn't letting you know which one you're getting. If you order two, you may even get both for all you know. That might be fine for how you want to use them, but I want one to match what I already have. I'd like to know or be given a choice. Cheap and it works. What else is there to say? Saw a reviewer complain that it only worked intermittently. That might be because the user was rapid clicking the remote. If you don't allow a good second between clicks, it won't work about half the time. Allow the second - works every time.Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I bought this wireless remote device for my holiday lights and the first night I put it on it worked just fine...until the next night after a rain filled day. The day after that it would not work at all and when I removed it a lot of a wet black substance like ink ran from the electric plug part of the unit. It was plugged in during the storm and in the proper position so I don't know how the liquid got in the unit. In addition to that there is no on off marking on the remote unit so you have to guess and hope it turns on/off when you press it.Customer Review: DOA

I use this to turn on lcd lights that I attached to the back of my 54' plasma. When it's dark I like a little ambient lighting but it was to much of a hassle having to get up reach the back of the tv and turn on the light. So, I bought this remote and it works great. I don't even have to point it at the TV, it always turns on and off when I push the button.
