This pillow is very large and firm but not so much to the point of it being too firm.
It cradles your head just right and is very cool and remains so for quite awhile,I can see this being very soothing on those hot summer nights.
I am a side-sleeper and am very happy with the support this pillow provides.It looks to be a very superior product that will keep it's shape and provide years of comfort.Since I've had so many neck issues from sleeping on pillows that just weren't right,I can wholeheartedly recommend this pillow without hesitation.
There were no odor issues associated with this item so I was able to enjoy it the night I received it.

I have trouble finding pillows that work for me. Been through a variety of Tempur-pedic options, none of which quite hit the spot. This one does, in a variety of sleeping positions, and it fits nicely in a conventional pillowcase, unlike the various Tempur-pedic varieties.
It arrived with an unpleasant smell, which disappeared after a couple of days of initial airing out. Not enough to cut a full star from an otherwise excellent product.

This pillow is larger than most - much wider, and a little taller, but significantly the gusseting allows you to rest comfortably on the edge with good support. The cover material really does keep the pillow cool - compensating perhaps for any warming effects from memory foam(?). I bought it for me, but my wife loved it so much that I decided to try the contour pillow, which better suited my 6' 2" (200 lb) frame and wide shoulder with much denser foam and a shape that is taller but less wide.
The gusseted pillow is better than the contour because is feels more like a natural pillow with amazing support. We love them both - you choose which one is better for you!

After years of searching for the perfect pillow that doesn't break down after a few months, I came across this one. I'm a side sleeper, back sleeper, and stomach sleeper due to my Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Restless Leg Syndrome. I'm constantly turning over to find a comfortable position for my legs, and other pillows would interfere with the mask to my CPAP machine when I tried to sleep on my side. Not this pillow, it's firm enough so my head doesn't sink into the pillow, yet comfortable enough and cool enough to fall asleep to. If there's a better product out there, I've yet to find it.Customer Review: Firm but not firm enough for me

This pillow is very heavy and firmer than many pillows, but still too soft for my needs. I am a side sleeper and have nerve damage and bone spurs in my neck so if my pillow isn't firm enough to keep my head and neck in the same position throughout the night without sinking down into the pillow, keeping the weight evenly distributed, then I wake up in extreme pain. I bought this pillow because of all the wonderful reviews I read, but I have to say that it just isn't firm enough for my needs. Maybe my neck is worse than many folks, but it just did not provide enough stable support for my neck and I woke up in worse pain than before I went to sleep. I've spent hundreds of dollars on dozens of different pillows and I'm so frustrated I'm thinking of just buying some high-density foam (but not memory foam because it's just too soft) and carving my own custom pillow out of it. One good thing about this pillow with its cooling cover is that I did not experience the sweating effect I've had in the past with other memory foam pillows.
