I bought this to go in my game room. I have a lot of electronics in the living room which don't need to be on 24/7 if they're not being used. My dad bought a green power strip made by Monster over the summer but after researching the price, it wasn't worth it. After finding the Smart Strip for about half that of Monster, I figured I'd give it a shot. I bought this model and the SCG5 for my game room. I just received my BETS smart strip and plugged my DeWalt table saw into the control outlet and then plugged my huge 15 amp shop-vac into the automatically switched outlet. I fired up my table saw ripping a piece of 2x wood and the strip worked flawlessly. The shop-vac fired up immediately and stopped when I shut down the table saw. My fear was the fuse would pop with two big 15 amp power sucking machines turning on at the same time. Didn't happen. What a woodworkers dream. I was afraid to order the Craftsman Auto Switch and the I-Socket because of the mixed reviews so I took a chance on the BETS smart strip. My only regret was not ordering an additional one to save on shipping.Customer Review: Couldn't use with iMac sleep mode

No matter the adjustments I made, it would turn on and off over and over when iMac went to 'sleep'. I gave it two weeks and constant fiddling, but I have given up. Two stars for layout and the unit has a good heft to it. Unit feels substantial and has a nice long cord with a flat to the wall plug. It just wouldn't work with my already power-conscientious iMac.Customer Review: Didn't work for me

I like the arrangement and number of the outlets. That's why I gave it 2 stars.
The outlets, ALL OF THEM are functionins simply as OUTLETS.
The ones that are SUPPOSED TO TURN OFF, DOESN'T !!!!
It's smart alright, from a marketing view point to sell these.
But not so SMART to buy one.
