Very good product. Set your control unit, such as a TV, and then allow your speaker system, VCR, DVD, and other peripherals on the auto-switch plugs and when your TV is off, your other energy burning electronics are cut off too.Customer Review: Saving the Planet & Saving Money Made Easy

This product works as advertised. Just plug your TV into the control plug and your DVD player, receiver, video game console, etc. into the slave outlets and viola- you cut the phantom power that these other electronics use when they're "off". I purchased two of these as well as a few other energy saving items a couple of months ago and I have seen a decrease in my power bill. I can't contribute savings completely to the Smart Strips, but I know they make a tangible difference. I definitely anticipate recouping the cost of these in the first year of use, which makes me wonder why anyone wouldn't buy them.Customer Review: Smart Strip

I've read a couple of reviews that seemed to be of a negative nature for this product but THIS PRODUCT WORKS FINE FOR ME. You just have to know the capabilities and how to use it! That means...READ THE DIRECTIONS! The power adjustment knob is a little touchy at times and sometimes it doesn't cut the power when you'd like but if you spend a few minutes and have patience when you're adjusting it, it's easy to get it right. Once again, if it's not working for you READ THE DIRECTIONS, you're probably doing something wrong.
