Smart Strip LCG5 Energy Saving Power Strip with Autoswitching Technology and Modem/Coaxial Surge Protection
I bought three and fitted them to our two computer systems and to the Home Theater. So far, really, really good. Saves so much messing about with switches and remotes as everything now works with one "action" and the things we want left on all the time, just go into the appropriate places on the bar. Can't say how much energy it all saves as we have solar electric feeding into the Utilities power system, but these days, every penny helps!

Customer Review: Smart Strip Power Strip
Summary: 4 Stars

Works great. I had been crawling under my computer table to turn off the power strip at night. Now it does it by itself. I only wish that ALL of the "power saving" outlets were spaced further apart. I have one transformer that won't fit. But the power strip is doing it's job. I like it.

Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product. It does what it says by shutting down the power when the item is not in use for my printer, computer, and TV.

Customer Review: Smart strip.

If TV is not in control outlet the Smart Strip doesn't function as well. Too many always on outlets.

Customer Review: So Far, So Good
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw this item on Oprah a while ago and have been determined to buy one ever since. For a while, they were a bit scarce, but not any more it seems. In any event, I have a lot of computer things, several printers several scanners, and lots of doo-dads that hook into all of these things. Without even exploring the more advanced settings of the Smart Strip, I can say that I am pleased with the fact that when I turn the mother ship off (a.k.a. my cpu) everthing that only functions when the computer is on shuts off as well and I know that in time, that will make a huge difference. I no longer see the many blue indicator lights on peripherals that aren't being used and it's nice. I will be hooking one of these babies up to the TV soon.
