It is a bit expensive but we love the idea. We plugged in our TV and all the accessories. So the accessories only come on when we turn the TV on... they eventually go off a bit after you turn the TV off. Our clock plugs into the same strip and is always on.Customer Review: Great Savings!

In Nov or Dec 08, I heard a DJ on the radio say how she had reduced her power bill by 40% by unplugging things, especially TVs and PCs when not in use. I thought I would give it a try, and it worked. I had a peak power bill of $260, and the next month it was down to $160! Problem was, with PCs on desks and TVs in entertainment centers, it wasn't very easy to unplug them.
I started searching for smart power strips and came across these on Amazon. I bought seven for the house, and the power bill has stayed the same as when I was unplugging everything, but now all we have to do is turn off the "main" appliance on each power strip and it does the rest!

I use this power strip with my computer. I hated the fact that my printer was always on even when my computer was not. I run my printer and monitor into this device and when I turn my PC off, it automatically turns off the printer and monitor. Too simple!
I plan on buying another one to use with my TV and stereo.
Very easy way to save money on electricity.

My husband was told by a big-box electronic retailer that he needed to purchase a $150 surge protector in order to get the best clarity for his new flat screen HD TV.
I wanted to see if that salesman was right and purchased this protector to plug in the TV, speakers, DVD player, Wii etc.
Well, not only does it work like a charm but the clarity of the TV is perfect! He loves being able to simply press On/Off on the TV and know that everything else will do the same. One button- so simple! Saves us electricity (i.e $$) and reduces our carbon footprint. Fabulous!

I tried the Belkin Conserve Smart Belkin Conserve Smart AV F7C007q Energy-Saving Power Strip which would not trigger when my Pioneer amplifier was turned off (standby). I purchased the Smart Strip and gave the adjustment screw a quarter turn counter clockwise and I am now in business. Great product. I will never buy one of these unless it has an adjustment screw.
