I purchased this hatchet as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. I was not expecting it to be as big, balanced, or sharp when it arrived at my house. It arrived within the shipping period & I was very surprised.
My boyfriend uses his hatchet all the time, even for irrelevant random tasks. It's sharp enough to go easily chop through a raw chicken bone or most branches you can find. We take it with us when ever we head out camping or hunting. Smith & Wesson really lived up to their name with this hatchet.
I would definitely recommend buying it...we've gotten more use out of it than I ever thought we would. Much higher quality than any hatchet you can buy at a retail store, especially for only $[...].
