Since I don't know how this product performs yet due to not having the 2 (C) Batteries that this needs, I'll pick an average of 3 stars and take 1 away for not saying what batteries this takes and that they are not included with the product.
I may amend this review one day when I remember to go out and pickup the DADGUM batteries. I can't even remember the last time I had something that uses (C) batteries. Oh the nostalgia of it...

This smokeless ashtray works extremely well at containing second-hand smoke. Cleaning it can be a challenge; however, it works just as advertised! Recommend cleaning and changing the filters often to maintain the unit especially if you're a heavy smoker. I'm definitely sold on this item!Customer Review: Disappointed Smoker

I wanted this smokeless ashtray because I don't smoke in the house but now that the cold weather is here it makes it impossible to go outside or even to the garage to smoke. It sort of works if you keep your cigarette inside or at the edge when not at your lips. I was hoping it would be a little more powerful.Customer Review: Excellent.

I have been selling these on eBay (gratefulbuys) for over 9 years with 100% positive feedback and constant praise for them.
They work very well. We discovered that the entire ashtray can actually be washed with soap and hot water without any damage to the electrical parts or motor. Just remove the filters and batteries and let it dry before using!
