I really liked this product. My friend smokes and I do not, now when I visit I can breathe easy and I don't return home smelling so much of smoke. Fast service also; it arrived 4 days before the "estimated" time and it was 3 days after the order was placed. Thank you!Customer Review: It does the job well enough but noise is a downside

This ashtray gizmo does a fine job of filtering out the 'idle' smoke caused when you set your smoke in the ashtray. It adds up to a lot less smoke in my music room, which is always a good thing.
I suppose the noise is related to the motor that pulls the air from the ashtray into the filter system, but a quiet room will not be so quiet with this baby running. Cleaner air good but noise is not so good.
Mine has lasted a few years and has to deal with cigar, cigarette, clove cigarette, etc., smoke frequently. At this rate, it will outlast my lung capacity.
I haven't regretted buying this smokeless ashtray or the extra filters.

I had great hopes for this ashtray, but the noise is a constant irritant. I wanted something for my smoking friends to be able to use when they visit so they would not have to step outside. Even THEY agreed this was a growling little piece of irritation, and gladly bundle up to step outside.
