Customer Review: Excellent oscillating fan for my baby's room

I am extremely pleased with this fan, the timer does not make a problematic noise as a previous review had mentioned, so perhaps that person's fan was defective and needed to be returned, I don't know. You can hear it but only faintly. When it shuts off the brief clicking sound is barely audible. This was important to me because its in my baby's room and only about 6 feet or so from his crib. The timer works great, in fact. The fan is quiet, has three settings, and the oscillating feature is optional. All this, and an attractive design as well. It keeps my baby's room cool and comfortable. I have not used the wall hanging feature but its good to know its there just in case. Very reasonably priced too. Best fan I've ever owned. If I ever find that I need another fan I'll buy it again, absolutely.Customer Review: Excellent small fan

Excellent small fan bought for my daughte'rs dorm room. She's in a triple so space is tight. This is compact, super quiet, light, and very good at cooling down the room. The three speeds and oscillation provides many options. The auto safety off when tipped is more for my benefit then hers. This is the quietest fan I have ever seen. Even those fancy bladeless fans make more noise. It also moves more air than the noisier fans on the market. If you're looking for something to use while sleeping, especially if you share a bed with someone who is super sensitive to any regular pattern of noise, this is your fan, hands-down.
Now, if you want an oscillating fan, this is probably not for you. The front grill on this one can be set to rotate, and the fins on this grill will cause a slight oscillation as it rotates, but it isn't much.
As a final note, operation is a little counter-intuitive; you must first turn the timer dial to the position marked "on" (which does not set a timer in this particular case), and then operating the on/off/speed dial will work as expected. I was at first worried that the unit was DOA.

This fan is great -- quiet, good selection of speeds, low profile color and design. The oscilating feature is different than most fans -- the front "grill" spins to redirect the air, not the entire fan. So you can put it any where without is bumping something when it turns. Needed something to put on the wall in a corner over the fireplace to distribute heat. The size, power, oscillation, and quietness of the thing just happened to make it the perfect choice. Not to mention the fact that it is made to actually hang on the wall, how weird is that. I was planning on having to build a little shelf to hold it.
