This heater is just a waste of electricity. In order for you to get warm you have to put it right next to you and then make sure you are wearing some sun glasses cause it so damn bright. I am really disappointed with this unit. Its really hard to heat a 10' x 9' room. There is no point for the oscillating cause also does nothing for you..Customer Review: Effective, but BRIGHT

There are many reviews that rave about this heater---and they're true. For the low power use, it does an excellent job of heating the area it's facing, and the oscillating feature is nice, but---it is EXTREMELY bright. Cannot overstate that. It could be the primary light for a medium sized room, and it is rather distracting. So distracting that I can't even use the high setting. If you can make the light work for you, it can serve two purposes--great. But you should know it's as much a light as it is a heater.Customer Review: Excellent !

This beats oil filled heaters, ceramic heaters, and any others.
First because its efficiency. It runs in two modes 400w and 800w.
Which are a lot less than usually 1000w space heaters. at 400w i am
very comfortable.
second, I LOVE THE LIGHT.
there are studies where people get depressed living in dark regions
or seasonal changes. This thing give you kind of sun-like beam
and is very toasty and comfortable enough for me to go day dream.

People think since it's halogen life span of the heater won't be more very long. However, upon close inspection the coil of the halgen is very
thick. It's not like halogen lamp that you use for lighting purposes.
It will last minimum 3 to 5 years if you are careful with it and don't shake it or move it around.

I love this heater as my 1st 2 were WindChaser.. Those both stopped working shortly after 1 yr. time frame. This one is very quiet and does a super job! Only complaint.. Screws are too tight to unscrew screen and clean out dust. Need a strong air blower to blow it out..Customer Review: Excellent all around heater

With low and high settings plus oscillation, it will never be frigid inside again. This heater is an excellent choice if you are trying to save energy and dont like the burning smell some heaters give off when they first turn on. The Soleus Air is a very safe solution to a cold room, yet never gets too hot and wont burn anything. The only complaint I have is that the timer makes a slightly noticeable noise, especially when automatically turning off, and sometimes it will continue to make a faint clicking sound after shutting off. However this is a minor detail since I dont use that feature often, and only a concern for those who sleep right next the their heaters. Anyhow, this bad boy can do the job from across the room in minutes!
