Tools and Hardware Reviews of Soleus Air MS-09 Oscillating Radiant HeaterCustomer Review: Great alternative heat source Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my brother to use when he is working in the garage. As soon as it is turned on, you can feel the heat. Worked great heating a two car garage. Highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Great for a single room use, but awfully bright. Summary: 4 Stars
This heater was purchased primarily to heat an office. It does the job very well, even at the low setting. It is, however, very bright and I do not recommend it for a bedroom, unless you aren't sensitive to light while you sleep. Other than that, the price is fine for what it does.
Customer Review: Great heater Summary: 5 Stars
It's a good heater. Like running a few lightbulbs compared to heating the whole house. Animals can touch it and not get burned. It's pretty bright though. Hard to read something looking toward it. But all around I love it : ))
Customer Review: Great heater for the home office Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this heater for nearly a year. I keep my home fairly cool (upper 50s or low 60s), so when I am sitting still at my desk, I get cold. This is a great heater for the home office. I have never needed to put it on "High." The low setting is plenty. I also don't use the oscillating function. My only complaint is the little ticking timer in the heater, which is mildly annoying.
Customer Review: Great heater! Summary: 5 Stars
I use this heater often when I'm sitting at my computer or watching TV because the baseboard heaters in my apartment take forever to heat up if they are turned off and don't regulate the temperature very well if they are left on. I usually leave it on the low setting, as the high setting is too warm unless it's 8-10 feet away and oscillating to heat up more than one person. (It will take a long time if you're trying to use it to heat up a room; it's designed to heat up whatever it's pointed at!)
It also stays completely cool to the touch; my cats were very curious about it when I set it up initially and I didn't have to worry about them getting too close to it. (Plus it shuts off when it's moved or tipped over, another great feature!)
I'm not sure how well it would work when you're sleeping, as it's fairly bright and any blankets you have on would probably block the heat from reaching your skin anyway.
