Customer Review: Good heating but too bright

Obviously the whole idea of HOW this thing heats is good in the sense that it doesn't burn oxygen, and it never gets hot to the touch, and it doesn't use allot of energy. Nevertheless, on the HIGH setting, this thing is like a spotlight. I mean, its ridiculously bright, I can't have it in front of me, I have to have it angled to the side, or it will burn out my retinas. On the other hand, for specific uses, its awesome. When I am on the computer, and its just me, I sit in on a chair next to me and aim it down at my hands. I feel OK about not running the whole house heater, and it does a great job of keeping my hands and body comfortable even if its freezing inside the house. Don't expect this thing to warm like a heater you are used to, it literally only gives heat at whatever its pointing at, you get no heat even an inch outside of its blast radius.
Bottom line is, though, I do use it allot. It has a nice handle of the top of it and I am constantly moving it about the house and using it - so obviously its useful, and for the price, its a good deal.

I used to have a Lasko oscillating ceramic heater but got rid of it and bought two of these halogen heaters. It gives you instant heat, which is the purpose of buying a heater anyways. Plus it doesn't blow dust around and it is super quiet. This item can rotate back and doesn't make a sound at all. I have two on running at the same time in my bedroom and it keeps the room warm. I use it when I get out of the shower and it gives me instant warmth with no air blowing at me. I even use it as candlelight too and don't turn the lights on. If you want a heater that keeps you warm and worth your money, then get this product. Plus it comes with a remote too.Customer Review: Great for households with kids.

After searching for countless hours for a space heater that I can safely use around my small children, I cam across this heater. I never heard of this type of heater before and after research decided to go for it. I have had it for a year now and it is great. It heats up the area nicely and you don't have to worry about kids touching it and getting burned! The only drawback is after the kids are asleep and we settle in for a movie with the lights low, it is like the sun shining and I get a glare off of the plasma screen. But as most with kids know, these events are few and far in between.Customer Review: Great item, if not for major electrical interference

I discovered that the Soleus MS-10r causes severe line voltage interference when the heat is set to the LOW setting. When set to LOW, I have, so far, found that this unit causes these following items to emit a loud humming noise from their tranformer: A computer UPS, a CD player and a stereo amplifier.
Buyer beware!!! Even if the appliances in your household emit no hum noise, I'm certain that this much amount of line interference can't be great towards the long term reliability of sensitive electronic items!
This is the first item I've ever owned that does this and I am a gadget freak. How in the world did UL ever put their stamp of approval on this product!
