Customer Review: Great lamp and the price is cost effective, too

I've had the lamp for three years and find that it's my best portable heater. In the beginning, I found the bright light annoying, but have learned to overcome this by placing the heater behind me or to the side. The features I like about it are that it begins heating instantly and intensely. It's great for heating up just where I'm watching tv in my cold sunroom in the winter and uses a lot less electic than the room heat pump. While I'm lying on floor cushions, I have the heater to the right of the tv, aimed especially down and at my feet. The light is no brighter than the regular floor lamp that I have next to it. I think the cheerful light also helps me dealing with seasonal affective disorder (winter blues). I'm hoping I get a few more years use out of this marvel.Customer Review: It does what it says!!

Found this item way below price compared to what Home Depot had it for. It really gives off a nice warm, sun-like heat even when you are standing about 5-6 feet away from, plus the oscillating feature is an added benefit as well...Customer Review: It's Bright!

My heater just arrived & I gotta say.....it's making me want to confess to crimes I didn't commit....lol. I can't complain about it's warming qualities because I'm already warm & toasty. Get one if you don't mind the brightness....or buy some shades. I bought this because it's quiet but hope tonight when I try to sleep it won't make me "come to the light Laurie.....come to the light!".Customer Review: It's good. but...

It's a good product actually.
But high temperature of the top part frequently turns off itself.
It won't turn on again unless the temperature below certain point.
So the device should normally set to look at higher point than horizon.
I think it is suitable for office not a house.

I love this heater. We also have an oil-filled radiator type electric heater. The Soleus is superior in every way. The plug on the radiator heater gets hot after an hour or so of use but this one doesn't. And it warms you the instant you turn it on.
My husband complains a little about the brightness but it doesn't bother me at all.
