I waited to write this review since I did not get my bill for electricity till now. It is really energy efficient. I only spent 12 dollars more a month after I started using this heater. Like other people who wrote reviews, a high power(800W) was too bright and too hot to be around the heater. But a lower power was nice and cozy. It gives me a positive energy and warmth. I use this heater instead of a night lamp for readings. Also, it is very safe so I can use it around my 2 yrs old.Customer Review: assembly required

way better bang for the buck than costco's floor parabolic dish heater. it heats up faster. it does not make clicking noises to regulate heat - it only has a high (800W) and low (400W) setting. it is only ~ 3-4ft high. but it can be tilted up or down. it throws out light equivalent to a 60wat t bulb w/a orange tint. but it doesn't bother me - kinda like a fireplace :) the timer feature is nice ( so you can fall asleep w/o worrying about turning off the heater. remote is real sensitive - just stick your hand out the cover to use.Customer Review: excellent product

This is an excellent heater. It is quiet and specific in its heating area. It is almost like sitting in front of a fireplace. It is very well made and easy to operate. I bought one of these reflective heaters for my 88 year old mother for Christmas. Then I bought one for myself, my daughter, and my best friend. I think they are great little "body" heaters that make you feel warm instantly. They certainly create no noise like the "roar" of my old 1500 watt air blowing/entire room heating heater. I hope they last a long time. Though I do agree with many other reviews that they are a little bright if you have it shining directly at your face. I just put a pillow on my lap when I am reading to block the light. This way my feet get nice and toasty and I feel warm all over.Customer Review: very warm and efficient

Overall this is a good product considering its low cost. It gives immediate warmth and uses less energy than other space heaters. It is very bright though, I use the low setting to reduce light.
