I have a had a Sonic boom alarm clock before and don't know how I ever woke up without it! So when my old one of 12 years broke I knew I had to find another one and this one was even better! The large display is very easy to read for me without my glasses and you can set it for shaking, just the alarm or even both! As other reviews have noted, this product will wake most anybody. It is easy to use, a bit unstable standing on a bedside table. The display light brightness has 3 settings, but even the dimmest puts a green glow in the entire bedroom. I just turn it away from the bed and am getting used to it.Customer Review: works when others didn't :)

We had purchased one of these for our older child, who also sleeps soundly and always had difficulty with waking up, so we knew we had to get another one for our second child. The special feature of the vibrating disk does the trick! Works great. Would highly recommend.
