I had the original chillow for over 2 years. It sprung a leak, so when I went to purchase a new one, I saw the ChillowPlus and thought wow, this one's got to be even better. Wrong! The chillowPlus does not get as cold, and I cannot fell the cold-comfort thru my pillowcase as well, and it seems to hold the heat in, and it slides all over in my pillowcase. If you are going to purchase a chillow, definately purchase the original chillow. It is great! It is a much higher level of cool-comforting and that cool feeling lasts longer and it doesn't slide around and bunch up in my pillow...Customer Review: ChillowPlus

This is a very nice idea but there is a drawback to it.
It has a very strong chemical odor, that must be from the material inside that keeps it cold. It works for sure, but the smell was over powering. More than a new vinal smell like when you buy an air mattress for example. I have tried to air it out but its still there. So, I do like how it stays cold but I dont like the odor...Maybe its a defect, but I doubt it.

I bought this product while searching the internet. I have been going through menapause and severe hot flashes also severe leg cramps. I couldn't wait to receive it and use it. Although the preparation takes a bit of time once it is done you will not be disappointed. It kept me cool all night and when my legs were so bad I placed it under my calf muscles. It is wonderful. I only wish I would have found this sooner. The rubber smell takes a while to disappear but I can live with that.
