I purchased this after a few years of consideration. I can say I was disappointed that by the wee hours the chillo was hot, it had absorbed my heat but did not dissipate as it says it does so I had to move it to the floor for the rest of the night. Other times I woke up clammy from lying on it and it was all bunched up near the bottom of pillow. At some point I pushed towards the headboard to get it out of my way and when I pulled it in the morning it developed a tiny tear and leaked. I left my new chillow plus on the counter to "cure" after filling and my cat ran over it chasing my other cat and left a minute hole which I did not notice until I laid on it and got my pillow, head and sheets all wet. Ive always wanted a pillow that stayed cool. So I searched and found this CHILLOW PLUS. After filling it with water as the directions said, I waited and it didnt get cool. So I layed on it to see if it would work better. And it did give a cooling feel but its not a real cool, you can feel the chemical reaction cool.. its very artificial.. Also after a while it will get warm. It also gets all folded inside and is a hastle to get it flat again... My chillow right now, is on the floor next to my bed in a lump.. I live in Rio de Janeiro and its 40^C here.. amazingly id rather sleep without the chillow.. Wasted my money. Although the idea is great, the product needs a lot of work. hopefully in the future this product will work correctly and actually help me sleep better in warm to hot temperatures.Customer Review: Finally a good night's sleep

The only thing keeping my rating from being a 5, is that I'm on my second one since September. The labels warn not to bend and to keep cats away, but I found that easier said than done. I sleep with a double thick towel over all parts of the pillow except where my head is and still cringe and wake every time a cat comes near me. If I hadn't had them for between 11 and 15 yrs, (4 in total) I could easily kick them out of the room, but that's not the case. The pillow is also not made of an unbendable material which keeps it of course breaking the no bending rule. I have had multiple tares along the edges simply from the pillow falling out of the pillow case and landing on the floor bent. So someone needs to tell the pillow to stop breaking the rules if it wants a higher rating.
Other than that, I really love my chillow pillow. I am always hot and my husband is always cold regardless of the weather. The pillow allows us both to be comfortable. I don't have to keep the bedroom freezing to get a good nights sleep, I just put the pillow in the frig to get it super cold.
If you are a "cold side of the pillow" type, like I am, this is the product for you. It is a wonderful addition to a homeopathic plan to treat insomnia without dangerous drugs.
It might be a good idea for you to purchase two. I became so used to my first one that when it broke, I didn't sleep for the entire week it took for the new one to arrive.
Customer Review: Get hot at night? This is for you!

I have always gotten really hot when I sleep at night and wake up sweating. I did some research on the Chillow before my purchase and saw it had good reviews, so I figured I'd try it out. SO worth it! I followed the instructions which are elementary, put water in it and let it sit for 4 hours, and it was the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. I highly suggest this if you get hot at night. This product isn't like an ice cube and feels great when you lay on it. It stays cool not frozen. My dog has recently discovered which pillow it's in and I'm now forced to share my pillow with my 5lb dog. Thank goodness they make a mini chillow, then he can have his own :)
