I was looking for a quick access, secure storage unit in which my children's medications could be safely stored. Recall the stories you see see about how many kids get access to drugs from the family's medicine cabinet. Believe it.
This safe slips into a drawer and can be opened in about 20 seconds. It is tall enough to hold prescription bottles, money, passports, all the stuff that needs protection.
The spring loaded top releases quickly and relocking involves closing the lid until it latches. There is a double bitted key that should be well hidden for opening the safe in the event of a dead battery pack (there are 4 - replace the originals with heavy duty alkalines) or if the electronic mechanism fails.
I searched a lot for this - other safes can open very simply without a tool - check Youtube..
Price is reasonable.
