Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stanley 95-112 Tripod LED Flashlight

Customer Review: Good General Purpose Light
Summary: 4 Stars

Easy to position light where you need it. Could be brighter. Handy in a pinch.

Customer Review: Good concept, poor execution
Summary: 2 Stars

The tripod design is a great idea. The frame is also well constructed, and has quality feel.

However, they must have sourced some lousy/cheap LED. The brightness pales in comparison to a LED flashlight that operates on 2 AA batteries, and this is in the brightest setting with all 6 LEDs on and brand new batteries.

Also, I couldn't find the lumens rating, either on Amazon or the box. Probably for a reason.

Customer Review: Good idea, fell short
Summary: 3 Stars

I loved the idea of a tripod and hand light in one. However, although the LEDs were not the best out there, the biggest disappointment was the small magnet that was used as the latching mechanism to hold the legs together. It was so weak that the slightest jostle would spring the tool into tripod mode, battling your hand for control at the most inconvenient times. If Stanley could make a more secure latch it might be worth holding on to, but for now it's only as good as a low-end tripod.

Customer Review: Good idea, not so good product
Summary: 3 Stars

1 star for look and feel of the quality and strength of this flash, 5 stars for idea. I wouldn't risk to take it somewhere out of home, especially to keep it in trunk of the car. It feels too fragile for outdoors. Maybe I'm wrong, lets see.

Customer Review: Good idea.
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a good flashlight to keep in the trunk of your auto, or in your garage. It presents a hands-free opportunity so that you can do the job without someone to hold the flashlight. Great emergency flashlight for lighting up the fusebox or turning off the gas line during emergencies. The only drawback is that it is alittle pricey.
