Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stanley 95-112 Tripod LED FlashlightCustomer Review: Good light Summary: 4 Stars
This light works great. Has three levels of brightness. We like the versatility of being able to move the light head to the angle we need it. t is being used for projects around the home, outside and even for photographing.
Customer Review: Great & Useful Summary: 5 Stars
Great and useful product. tripod and tilting head allows you to stand the light anywhere. Batteries go into the legs and you don't need to put batteries in all three legs; only need one leg of batteries.
Customer Review: Great Concept, but does not perform as it could Summary: 2 Stars
I am something of a collector of flashlights. In recent years I have purchased several dozen LED based flashlights. From cheap 3 dollar versions like you see as impulse items by hardware store registers, to military / law enforcement versions running over $200 "SureFire, Steamlight....."
With these tripod lights being so cheap around Christmas, I purchased 8 to give friends as stocking stuffers. The self standing feature seemed like a great asset and handy during winter power outages. Seeing that it utilized one of the new generation of "chip" based CREE type LEDs, I expected the typical very white beam. As a few others have mentioned, it has a rather blueish center beam with a yellowish ring surrounding. These must use the cheapest of cheap chip type LED's that the market has to offer. I have never seen this even from some very cheap ebay sold flashlights exported from China which use the same type chip.
I think others have commented enough on the body design not holding up to much abuse. The best feature that these flashlights do provide is the multi battery option. The power coming from the batteries in each leg is fed to the bulb in parallel, so the bulb will only see 4.5 volts despite installing the additional 6 batteries "all 3 legs" The additional batteries should provide a great amount of additional run time.
In a nut shell, I would say that if your looking for something that can provide a very white, long throwing beam, these fall short. You can get flashlights that throw out a good deal more lumens for the same price. If the quality of the light is not as important as the self standing feature and run time, the $10 I got these for makes them an OK deal.

This flashlight is very versitile. You can use it with the legs closed as a regular flashlight or tilt the head down 90 degrees and pop the legs out to use the flashlight as a spotlight. You have the choice of filling one, two or all three legs with AA batteries. Each leg holds 3 batteries. The more legs you fill, the longer the battery life, but if you only have three AA batteries on hand, it still works. Our power went out for two days and my husband and I survived by setting up three of these flashlights on their tripod. The legs are held together by a light magnet, when you push the release button the legs pop out.
I highly recommend this flashlight.
