Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stanley High-Velocity Blower Fan, 655702

Customer Review: Great & Quiet
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the second one of these that I have owned. I bought the first one at Walmart many years ago. I am a musician in Florida and it gets very hot outdoors where most of my gigs are. I got so dependent on this fan that I needed one just like it. (Walmart stopped carrying them) Quiet and dependeble and the outlet on the side makes it perfect for plugging in other instruments without the hassle of cord length. Thank you Amazon!

Customer Review: Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I am very glad I bought this product. I was hesitating but wound up buying it before I went on vacation and even took it with us and used it as a suplemental cooling/comfort device. Small foot print, quiet at night and made for good sleeping.
I am sure I will have multiple uses for it. GREAT BUY!

Customer Review: Great fan
Summary: 5 Stars

This fan is portable and adjustable, so if you sitting or standing you can have air keeping you cool the entire time. The 2 power plugs built in allows you to use other electrical equipment without giving up the fan. A must have for tradesmen.

Customer Review: Great for White Noise
Summary: 5 Stars

We've had this fan for years for various uses (painting, drying out rooms, etc) and now it has a home in my daughter's room. She's 2 and for over a year we've used it as white noise while she's sleeping. Pointed at the floor on the highest setting drowns out any background, house sounds (phone ringing, dog barking, doorbell). She sleeps well with it every night!

Customer Review: Great multi-use fan that moves a lot of air
Summary: 5 Stars

I am on my 3rd one of these fans...not because they break, but because people keep borrowing them from me and not wanting to return them because it is such a great little fan. I have been using it for almost 4 years now and would never purchase a different one. It is perfect for just about every job needing a fan. We use ours primarily in the bedroom at night when sleeping because it is the only fan we have found within this price range that can move air across our giant bedroom...plus it also makes a wonderful & even humming noise that is perfect to sleep to (much like a white-noise maker).
I like to clean our own carpets monthly and this little fan works wonders at drying the carpet within minutes (yes, minutes vs. hours like other fans). You could go buy one of those fancy, huge, professional carpet drying fans and spend approx $200 and get the same results with this much less expensive fan.
I don't use the 2 outlets on the side of the fan, but I imagine they could come in handy for some folks. The power cord on this thing is quite robust, which is a good thing if you were to plug in power tools. The cord is of a decent length, too. One of my favorite things about this fan is the rubber feet is has mounted on the bottom to keep it from scooting around. It's electrical areas are mouted a few inches off of the ground so I don't worry when placing it on wet carpet or tile.
Now, this fan has a very narrow direct route of air-flow and really doesn't do a good job of moving air across a wide area, you have to gradually move it if you wish to dry a wide area. This doesn't bother me because I wasn't looking for that in a fan. One other negative to is is the plastic housing...it shouldn't be dropped. I have dropped mine a few times on mostly carpeted floors and I can see where the seam in the middle is spreading (not breaking, just spreading apart). This hasn't affected it in anyway, but worth noting that it is not so durable if dropped. Only other thing worth mentioning, is the fact that it should be cleaned often if exposed to a lot of dust because it can get trapped inside & cause the fan to make a very annoying whistling noise.
