Tools and Hardware Reviews of SteamFast SF-226 Handheld Steam CleanerCustomer Review: Boiling Hot Water works way better Summary: 1 Stars
Warning! This Steamfast Handheld cleaner (that I am sending back immediately) is very poorly made. The steaming water spills out creating a dangerous mess (and yes, I filled it EXACTLY as the instructions stated) and ultimately it did not work very well (in fact boiling water works WAY better than this Handheld piece of junk and it's way cheaper too). Please don't waste your time or money (and it's also very cumbersome and the instructions are poorly written... I could go on but you get the point). What a waste of time & money.
Customer Review: Cheap but quality low Summary: 2 Stars
This machine is cheap but does not remove stains well and the water runs out too fast.
I have tried to remove several stains but not so easy.
I would rather buy one bigger size one instead.
Customer Review: Complete waste of money. Summary: 1 Stars
I strongly recommend that you do not buy this steamer. I tried cleaning some venetian blinds and it did nothing. If I put them in the shower they clean up much easier and faster. Tried getting soap scum out of grout and it didn't work there either. Save your money. This thing is useless.
Customer Review: Do not buy Summary: 1 Stars
I have just wasted $34. This item doesn't work. I was so excited and was glad when the steam cleaner arrived. I read instructions and went to work. Well tried to work. Yes it shot out steam but that's all. It doesn't power away grease, dirt or grime. In fact I couldn't tell any difference after using. Please save your money -- don't believe what anyone says -- it just doesn't clean or get rid of dirt, grease or grime. I'm out $34. Going to place in back in the box and file under waste of money.
Customer Review: Does not do what advertised Summary: 2 Stars
While I've tested many similar appliances in the past because of my work, I have to admit that I finally found the worst one of the lot. Here are my thoughts on it and why I feel no one should make an investment on such a unit.
1) The unit delays a lot to produce a hot steam over 5minutes and once it does it never reaches very high heat which is essential to liquefy fat and other material for cleaning.
2) The pressure it releases the steam is very low, inadequate for any kind of pressure cleaning.
3) If you're using this as a scrubbing device thinks twice, the heads are very small for large surfaces, it do well on cleaning good small parts.
The biggest downfall in my opinion is the heat/pressure, it simply doesn't cut it even for simple things such as getting rid of allergens in your bedding or removing stains from your kitchen appliances.
