Customer Review: 1st Steamer, great product for the price

This is my first steamer as well. I have a wedding to attend this week end and thought it would be a good buy to refresh that great looking dress I got last week... I was curious about it as well. I did my homework, checking the reviews between different models and the SF407 (like I call it) was standing out in price/avg satisfaction.
I received it this afternoon and of course tried it right away with some curtains and various things around the house.
The use of the protective pad to press is great and does a great job.
I kinda saw online that steam kills dust mite (cool ! My husband is allergic so I guess it will help for that as well)
The main point that bugged me a little is the hose getting hot after about 10 min (they could have a better isolation)
Also, they recommend to use distilled water and I am not sure I want to spend a couple of extra $ each time I use it.
Great product for the price !

Previously I had the SF-465 steamer and it crapped out after a year. After reading the great reviews on this little unit, I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you it blows away the much more expensive SF-465!!! Here are the advantages, this unit outputs more steam than any other model I have tried with less water drops! You do not have to hold a steam button like many other units. You just turn the switch on and you are steaming in 30 seconds. It is half the size of the SF-465 so its easy to store in the laundry room and I love the fact that the water tank pops out easily for refill. With the Sf-465 I had to carry a water container back and forth to add water. I'm thrilled with this unit, but I've only had it for a week. I'll try to follow up in a few months...

This is just junk! It heats up in about 2 minutes & then you get steam for only 1 minute. No matter what the book tells you to do, it gets no better than this. If you turn it off for 10 minutes and then back on, you can then get another 1 minute of steam.Customer Review: A good substitution for ironing

This steamer is great! After buy this I tried the as "seen of tv" "Toby", and this product is definitively better. It really removes fast wrinkles of all type of clothes. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because the telescopic hanging pole must be taller for a regular size human, and the tube from base unit is very hard to manipulate when it is cold.Customer Review: A great value

I bought this steamer because i was sick and tired of ironing shirts and wanted to be able to take wrinkles out of my suit. It is a fantastic value, works well, and creates enough steam to take the wrinkles out of all fabrics, even thicker knits. I have used JiffySteamers that cost over $200, and I think that this model works every bit as well as those. I would definitely purchase it again.
