I purchased this travel Iron with the expectation that it would only allow me to smooth over a few wrinkles a not much more, boy was I mistaken. Not only was I able to get all the functions of a full sized iron in my humble opinion but it was also super quick. The steam took between 15 to 30 seconds to buildup at full setting and did a fine job on my best dress shirts (all cotton based). The size was unbelievable and able to fit the iron into a small corner of my large luggage grip without compromising much needed space and I traveled with a packed grip too. The electrical cord was sufficiently long so there was no need for any further extensions and you should be able to iron from most locations within a room where outlets have been placed. The grip, feel and weight of this iron was natural and allowed me to get into garment creases much more efficiently than a regular iron.
If there were any downsides I would say that size of this iron does take some getting use to but after you adjust to it you should be fine. I would also recommend that you purchase the ironing blanket to avoid applying heat to anything that is not your intended garment and for better results.

I needed an iron and ironing blanket to take with me to the Bahamas for my daughter's wedding. I ordered this one because it was mid-ranged priced and I liked the ergonomic design. The men in the wedding party had linen pants, and my daughter carried her wedding gown with her for a full day of travel so I knew I would need something powerful, yet small to take with us. The iron was much more than I expected. It worked perfectly in steam and ironing modes, and the blanket I purchased was just as good and large enough to do a good job of pressing everyone's clothing. We bought this travel iron recently because we were going on a cruise, maybe the last "hotels" in the world that don't provide irons. This little guy was fantastic. Heats up quickly, good steam, compact, takes up very little room in the suitcase. Highly recommended.
