This is the most wonderful creation and item i've ever bought to do gardening. With a bad back and arthritis i looked for options to get closer to the ground without using knee pads. This gem is just that! My tools are always handy even on storing so I never have to go looking for just the right tool/gloves. It supports your weight although very light to carry and will roll as you manuver planting your flowers or weeding. I've had this for ten years and although my family laughed when I bought it, they embrace using it now because it is so effective!! A very good and useful buy.Customer Review: Handy

This is a handy little guy, and could be more for children. On the negative side, the top does not lift off and there is no handle. Yet, it is a lightweight seat to give a rest after a long day outside. It also keeps your knees dry (by keeping you off them). The wheels allow for easy movement in a lateral direction, while my tendency is to lean forward, so the Hopper does not shoot out from under me. There's a convenient cup holder for bottled water, too. Finally, the compartment under the seat is accessible from both sides and handy for tools, weeds, litter or whatnot. I purchased this as a gift for my wife, who cultivates a small front garden of flowers and spices, and a small side garden on the side of our house. This device is great, allowing her to move and reach items she needs. I think it is a great device for simple gardening, but I would think larger gardens may be a little larger than this item can handle. However, for small "urban or suburban" gardens, I doubt I could find anything better. I have one of these to use in the front yard where there are concrete paths. I roll it along as I pull weeds or do other chores in the garden. The fact that there is a rather clumsy storage area doesn't bother me too much, because the advantage is, you can pick up this stool and toss it around easily. You wouldn't be able to do that if the top opened. There's room for snacks, drinks, sunglasses, gardening gloves, a trowel, etc.
I also have one that does open and acts as a pull-cart. That one does get more use as I pile bags of mulch on it and drag it around the yard.
Both have their purpose. The Hopper Mobile Garden Stool is solid. I'm glad I have it.
EDITED to say that I've thought of two more uses for it.
1. You could toss it in the trunk of your car and easily take it with you to use as a chair.
2. Convince the children that it's a self-propelled 'car' and let them get some exercise. :)
