Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stop-A-Clog Drain Protector (Clear) (5" Diameter)Customer Review: Disappointed again Summary: 1 Stars
I'm giving this product 1 star only because they didn't list the dimensions of it and I bought it anyway. Giving myself 1 star too for doing that. It's way too small for my 3-inch wide pop-up drain. Continuing my search for the perfect drain protector.
Customer Review: Disappointing Hair Trap Summary: 2 Stars
This hair catch allows all but the largest floating debris to escape down the drain. The size of the strainer holes needs to be reduced.
Customer Review: Does not require frequent cleaning Summary: 5 Stars
My previous drain protector was recessed down into the drain and required cleaning at least once per shower to prevent water buildup. This product is superior because of its convex shape, allowing water to drain even as it collects hair. A small percentage of hair may be able to slip under the sides of this one, but it is an acceptablely small amount and is more than offset by not having to stand in a pool of my own filth.
Customer Review: Don't believe those 5 star reviews. Summary: 1 Stars
This product is too small, worthless, and expensive. At $20, they are trying to steal your money. The hair just slip underneath and the suction won't hold. If you have a small drain, it might work.
Customer Review: Drain Protector Summary: 5 Stars
I thought I was catching most of my hair by combing it out and setting it aside, but now I can see how much was going down the drain. This explains so much. It stays in place pretty well, and is keeping a significant amount of hair out of my plumbing. I would recommend it for anyone with a lot of hair.
