These were exactly what I was looking from a space standpoint. I ordered 4 of these and they are great...keeps the shoes and purses protected! I would definitely recommend these. (You will need a small rubber mallet for construction and before you set them up in your closet - give all the connectors a couple of final taps).Customer Review: Buy this if you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like putting things together!

I decided to organize my closet. I have a LOT of shoes! I also really don't mind at all assembling things like this...in fact I just put together a chest of drawers from Target last week! So, I purchased two of the 15 shoe cubbies. My arms are still sore from putting these things together! I was just able to remove the band aids on my finger without starting the bleeding up again...yes, I was injured putting the cubbies together! It is a minor injury, and the blood wiped off the cubbies very easily, so that is good! Would I do it again??? NO WAY IN HE%%!! What a huge project this was. Perhaps if I had only ordered one set of 15 cubbies I would feel differently...I thought about returning the second set...but at that point I was in...all or nothing. The end result - the cubbies seem fairly sturdy...they look ok, my shoes do fit in fine (I wear a 6.5 woman's shoe), and my closet looks a bit neater. If you enjoy putting puzzles together, and have a couple free hours, go for it....but me, I will never buy these again.Customer Review: CREATES TONS OF ROOM FOR MORE SHOES!!

These cubbies are EXCELLENT for creating more room in your closet for more shoes. They are easy to put together AND you can move them easily or change the shape to fit your closet. Outstanding BUY!! I had two sets of these shoe cubbies for the past 2.5 years and recently my collection outgrew them so I switched to Max Space's 60-pair shoe rack (see my review on that one).
Pros:
1. Flexibility - you don't have to stick with the original setup. You can decide on the layout of the boxes to fit your own needs. I had my two sets stacked on top of each other and remove the dividers between the top two shelves so that I can fit boots and other shoes with higher shafts.
2. The boxes go deep in so depending on the type of shoe, you can sometimes fit two pairs into one box and save more space.
3. Very sturdy. The button connector is pretty solid. I only broke one while taking the whole thing apart without too much care.
4. The frosted look gives the illusion of transparency, making it seem less like a solid furniture item. A good optical illusion for making the space look bigger.
Potential cons:
1. Initial installation could be a pain for people who don't have a strong hand. Since you need to piece together every single cube, it takes a lot of patience. It also takes a lot of strength and coordination to tightly and properly fit the sides in place. But the payoff is that you'll have a stably standing unit.
2. It's a bit hard to clean - if you have to clean them. Dust and dirt collect at the bottom of each slot. Unlike a shoe rack, you have to clean each box individually.
3. This is probably not the best way to store nice shoes like pumps and heels, which was why I eventually switch back to a shoe rack. It's more of a storage solution (as it is named) for people with lots of sneakers type of shoes that doesn't require too much care. You can bend, bold, stack them in one slot. You probably wouldn't want to do that to your nice heels. And as soon as you start stuffing too many shoes in there, it started to look very unorganized.
4. This unit takes a lot of depth at where you put them. At some point I felt that it was protruding out too much from the wall because of its dimension. #3 & #4 are pretty much the determing factors for me to move to a shoe rack.
Overall, I feel that this product serves its purpose and can last a long time. I would say stay away from it if you have many nice shoes - but it'll help a lot if you have lots of casual shoes and wanted to keep them in limited space.

After some work at snapping the pieces together and keeping straight which way I wanted to put the cubbies together, I have enjoyed using this shoe storage product. I have to say though that snapping it together took some muscle, but I don't think the pieces will ever come apart as the connections are very secure.
