Love this shoe organizer! I bought this shoe cubby and received it yesterday. I finished putting it together in about an hour. I read a few reviews before buying it and a lot of people mentioned that it could be difficult to put together and that it made their hands sore. So, when I started putting it together I did notice that it takes a bit of elbow grease to get the pieces to fit together. I don't believe this is shotty craftsmanship; I believe it's made this way so that it won't fall apart. Anyway, after the first box, I put on some garden gloves and no more sore hands.
As for the comments about shoes not fitting or this product only being for baby shoes, I believe these are coming from people who expected both shoes to fit in one box side-by-side as pictured. Regardless of the picture I assumed I wasn't getting two shoes in one box side-by-side, only because I've never seen a shoe storage unit that does this. It's supposed to save space, so of course the cubbies are smaller. I wear a size 7 and one pair fits in one box just fine as long as I flip one shoe around.
If your that obsessive about which direction your shoes face in the cubby, I suggest you build your own storage unit because you won't find one that is big enough for that.
This product does what it should... I will say, I think it should marked at a lower price point. $30 for some plastic is a bit steep.

I have a similar storage system for my books and junk so I knew what kind of assembly I was getting into when I purchased it. It is a little time consuming and can get a little bit difficult at times but it is definitely worth it. Once assembled it is extremely stable and sturdy.
Each shoe storage opening is about 6" x 6" as advertised. I wear a women's 10-11 and my husband wears a men's 10. I am able to fit my flats, smaller heels, flip flops, clogs, etc in the openings. The only shoes we have to split up and put only one shoe in each opening are our athletic running shoes. What I like about this organizer if that I can put two pairs of shoes in one bin (I do this with my flip flops and flats) and it will keeps it organized. It is much harder to double up with other organizers.

Just a quick review here that echoes much of what others have already said. the cubby itself is great. It's lightweight, and yet extremely sturdy. Once assembled, it can be picked up and moved (even tossed) around without any worries about panels sliding out or pieces coming off. I was expecting a much more flimsy cubby system, but this is very well made.
However, part of the "well-made" aspect has to do with the fact that I had to put on work gloves in order to assemble this thing. Honestly, the amount of pressure required to snap everything into place left indentations in my hands, made my fingers sore for half a day, and made me consider getting a hammer out to pound these pieces into place. Also, it was missing one panel when we got it. Not worth the trouble of sending it back, so we just made one cubby extra tall for boots and such.
Overall, my wife and I are extremely pleased with this cubby. We bought a pink one for our girls' room (3 yr. old and 2 yr. old) and a white set for my wife's shoes. The kids love it and can easily fit two pairs of shoes in each cubby. My wife's shoe collection consists of 90% flip-flops, and she'll probably be putting multiple pairs in each spot. I say "probably" because I fractured my thumb and have been unable to assemble her set of cubbies. No, I didn't fracture it during the first assembly experience, but I could have. HA!

My closet has some odd spaces that I wanted to utilize. This shoe cubby was perfect as I could change the shape to fit my spaces. The shoe slots are big enough that I could place my shoes in it with a toe and heal style showing. I gave it a 4 as it's a little challenging to put together but I used a little patience, a small tap hammer and a soft touch. Would definitely recommend because of its versatility
