After reading several of the negative reviews, I wasn't sure I wanted to order this; but a few positive reviews changed my mind. I found this to be well-designed and to have more space than most other shoe storage units. Assembly is challenging; but well worth the time. I'd recommend using a rubber mallet/hammer for tapping the connectors into the proper position. It took me about half an hour to assemble the unit and I've had no problems. If you're looking for something that's already assembled, don't buy this. But if you're reasonably handy, it's well worth the effort.

These cubbies are an inexpensive method to store my off-season shoes. They protect the shoes from dust, yet you can see each pair. They even accomodate large clogs, etc. Very easy to assemble. I have two.Customer Review: Great option for shoe storage

I have to admit I agree with others who said that it was not the easiest thing to assemble, but once together a GREAT storage solution for my closet. You just have to pay attention to the direction of the threading on the clips and push the panels in "with the grain" of the thread. I figured this out half way through and it made it a whole lot easier. With two of us, took approx. 30 mins to assemble two sets.
I have bought two of these to put together in the bottom of my closet, but had some left over cubes, so I have them on the shelf organizing other things as well.

This is the best system for organizing shoes. I bought this to get my shoes organized and it is great. However, I am glad that I wasn't planning on putting my husband's shoes in this too because they DO NOT fit. He wears size 10-11 and only one shoe would fit per cube. My shoes fit nicely though. Like the other reviews state, this is very time consuming to put together, but I feel like it was worth it. Once assembled, it is very sturdy. I liked that you can configure this how you want. It fits my space perfectly because I was able to build it the way I wanted.
