I received one of these for Christmas 2 years ago and was surprised at how bright the flashlight is. I used to carry a MagCharger with me at work, but this is no where near the size or weight! Amazingly bright for one LED... and I bought 2 of the flashlights because I like them so much.Customer Review: Best light for the money/size/power!

I tend to think very tactically and always cary and light and a knife on me. I have tried dozens of different lights that would be bright enough, cost effective, small enough, and ease of carry and access. For me, without going to a $200 surefire or something this is the best choice I have found. I purchased a dozen for gifts for friends and family because I thought they were so great. I've had this amazing little light in my pocket for about a month. I use it a lot because it's easy to carry (small, inconspicuous shape, & lite-weight), easy to use (rubberized end cap button that does both momentary and on/off, and is completely intuitive), and puts out enough light (the reflector maximizes light focus in a way that non-reflector LED lights can't match) that I rarely feel the need for a bigger flashlight.
I have a fascination for flashlights and own dozens. My second favorite in this genre is the Pack-Lite, which uses a 9-volt battery. While this is an excellent performing light, the squarish shape and naked 9-volt battery are not pocket friendly. The Streamlight MicroStream partners with the ChapStick in my left pants pocket and is unobtrusive.
A lot of mini LED lights use CR-type disk batteries. While these are small and lite-weight, they are expensive and sometimes hard to find. The MicroStream uses common and cheap AAA batteries. My only worry about this light is losing it because it's small. So I'm ordering another as a backup because I can see now that this is one item I don't want to be without.

You will not believe just how bright this thing is. The beam is almost fluid like, with no "dead spots" in the pattern. The range is incredible, for something the size of your finger. Just use it around someone, and, see if they don't ask what kind of light it is. It is made to survive most all of life's little surprises, and, is totally waterproof to boot (believe me). I need a light I can count on, and require it to be small enough to carry at all times, this, by far,is the best light I have purchased, all others, including my Pelican Xenon (short bulb life but nice light), are relegated to the "drawer".
