Tools and Hardware Reviews of Streamlight 66318 MicroStream LED Pen Flashlight

Customer Review: Best pocket flashlight hands-down.
Summary: 5 Stars

You will not believe just how bright this thing is. The beam is almost fluid like, with no "dead spots" in the pattern. The range is incredible, for something the size of your finger. Just use it around someone, and, see if they don't ask what kind of light it is. It is made to survive most all of life's little surprises, and, is totally waterproof to boot (believe me). I need a light I can count on, and require it to be small enough to carry at all times, this, by far,is the best light I have purchased, all others, including my Pelican Xenon (short bulb life but nice light), are relegated to the "drawer".

Customer Review: remarkable and durable pen flashlight
Summary: 5 Stars

If you are looking for a well made pen flashlight, look no further. The beam is bright and nicely focused. The feel and heft is perfect, light but solid. The button is on the end and water sealed. How do I know? This penlight has taken a turn through the washing machine (accidentally) twice without any problems. I highly recommend this product. I have both the one and two cell version, but for portability use the smaller one more often

Customer Review: The perfect light for any situation
Summary: 5 Stars

This light is small yet just the right size for your hand. The entire light is black metal which is sealed water tight. Big bonus is the light uses one AAA battery so there will always be a battery to use and always availability at the local store. This thing is bright too! At night you can see very clearly as it has a strong WHITE light - not yellowish. Also, it shines far - at about 100 feet away you can shine the light into the trees at night and see the leaves. This light comes with a lanyard that hooks to the pen like pin on the light so you can hang it around your neck. I wore this when I went fishing and this light was a blessing to have. Also the on/off button works two ways. You can depress the button and use the light quickly or spot checking OR you can depress the button all the way until you hear a 'click' and use the light continuously. Overall price is perfect too.

Summary:
Can't go wrong here as you get an LED light that functions as well as it looks for a decent price.

Customer Review: Perfect for the pocket
Summary: 5 Stars

Fits nicely in a pants pocket or purse. Light is amazingly bright for it's size especially when using a fresh battery. I use mine at work, and play, and never leave home without it. Maybe it's the old boyscout in me but I don't feel comfortable anywhere without my trusty flashlight and a pocket knife. If you can't find this light on Amazon another great internet source is Bright Guy.

Customer Review: love this light
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned many LED lights over the years. A cool one comes out I buy it. I used to love the Stylus. I have several and even gave some as gifts. They have been out a while with not much change. I bought a MicroStream off a tool truck several months ago. I became very attached to it. Very bright and uses AAA batteries which are affordable and easy to find. The Stylus uses AAAA batteries which are a bit more costly and harder to find. The MicroStream is small and convenient. I work on cars and it is good for inspection and under dash work. Brightness is consistent throughout life of battery. It is a good idea to keep spare batteries handy as light will just go out. I recently lost my MicroStream and ordered another from Amazon. I also ordered a StylusPro. There are other LED lights that are brighter. I have a penlight rated at 1 watt. I have seen some rated at 3 watts. Higher output if you need it. They are more expensive to buy and operate as they go through batteries quicker. The MicroStream and StylusPro are rated at 1/2 watt. I am happy with the output for my needs. My only problem now is what to do with the several hundred dollars worth of LED lights I no longer use.
