The 7-LED Propolymer will not come close to the brightness of the Luxeon type lights, but it will provide useful light output for longer than any Luxeon of similar size. The Streamlight ProPolymer advantage is for those of us who encounter potentially explosive atmospheres, because all the ProPolymers are certified for hazardous atmosphere use. Peace of mind if ypu're going into some significant potential gas leak area - no Surefire has this certification. If I was an emergency responder, I'd demand one. Myself, I have to use mine for inspection of oil/gas production facilities, 24/7.

this flashlight works as I expected, I was bought an streamlight 3N a couple of years ago, it still working with the same batteries, for that reason I bought the Streamlight 68202. The only issue that I have with my 3N is that some times the light go down so I had to hit(not strongly)to recover, it happened to my old maglite too, It looks like the spring should be expanded after a year to fix the issue.
Besides that, the flashlight works excellent.

Yes, it's bright. Yes, it's light. Yes, it pretty much runs forever on a set of batteries.
With that said, I expected more from Streamlight. I love all of the metal LED flashlights I've bought from them; however this flashlight lacks the same quality of it's metal cousins. The fit is loose enough where it allows the batteries or some other electrical contacts to move around resulting in a shake on/off effect. While this is tolerable in most instances, it should not happen anytime.

Well, you could say I have a flashlight fetish: at this moment there are probably 20 or more flashlights in my home, office and car. The Streamlight 4AA has become my favorite, this last one being the 4th I've bought. This one was a gift for my mother to make her feel safer during power outages, etc.
The Streamlight 4AA is durable, produces a strong,clear light and lasts a long long time on inexpensive batteries.
This is it: the best flashlight I've ever owned.
