I ran in to the same problem that others have; the on/off switch is garbage. I had one of these for about a year, and no problem so I bought another. I used the second one about a dozen times and then the switch stopped being reliable and then quit. Two weeks later the original started doing the same thing. It still works, but I have to switch it off and on 3 or 4 times before it (usually) stays on. I really like the light other than the switch, but wouldn't buy another.Customer Review: Good flashlight

I bought this flashlight with no expectations. What I got was a light that is extremely bright and the color of the light is very close to day light. There is almost no heat generated. The down side is that the light beam can not be focused and the light does not do well over distance.Customer Review: Good for travel and household use too

Made of very good quality tough plastic. Packaging says it's made in America. Package came with 4AA alkalines.Decent size and not too large. Fits in backpacks, carry-on luggage, laptop bag when travelling. Good to bring along on travel trips as a standby lamp.
Max light ouput rated for first 6 hours, but then intensity starts going down, until 155 hours later when range is only 1 meter (still good for reading a book).
It's also water proof.
The on/off button at the end (opposite end from LEDs) of the torch allows you to manually flash it continuously. This comes in handy should you require to use the lamp as a warning or signal tool.
Good buy overall for the price and quality/finishing.

Just threw this flashlight in the trash after disassembling and working on it for 20 minutes. Based on 1st impressions I bought a second, ended up with 2. After walking around the neighborhood tonight - it's principal use - I set it on the kitchen island and it rolled off. After retrieval, the switch was frozen and the light would not work. I do not know if it fell on the switch (bottom end) but there was no evidence of damage. There is not a way to fully disassemble it and in trying to do so I saw the shortcomings of the design. Despite the design, the overall quality is mediocre. From my inspection, this was not going to be a long life possession anyway (it is far from Maglite quality). Bottom line ... If you think you will never drop it, or don't plan to turn the switch off/on frequently, go for it. Overall it is 2-3 stars. I've given it 2 only because I wasted money for 1 light and have another I doubt will last long. When it works, it's a good light.Customer Review: Good utility light

I have bought four or five of these lights for myself or others. It is a very useful size, has good battery life and is bright enough for anything close enough for you to be interested in. I find it useful for camping, when traveling and a general utility light around the house. Occasionally I have to shake the first one I bought (5 years ago) for the batteries to make contact. I haven't noticed if this is still a problem in newer ones. If you want to illuminate the next county you need a different light.
