A little bigger than I expected, but I am very satisfied. I bought this one and my partner bought the super-power one (Luxeon LED). We are both very pleased.
It's only big b'c it was intended to use on a helmet with a face shield... works just by having it cantered a couple degrees to one side, but doesn't affect usability or lighting... this one is diffuse lighting and the other is a very concentrated light-- the other will light up a point on a roof well if that's what you need, but this one lights up a whole room or exterior without the distracting spot; just beyond 30-feet in a semi-lit exterior scene loses some of the punch when there's other lighting around (street lights, house lghts, scene lights, etc). Out Lieutenant has nicknamed us "Spot" and "Flood" for the type of lights we each use, and both come in very handy.
For the battery life (130h for this one vs. 4h for the spot), price, and lighting (believe me, you can't even look at this one it's so bright), not to mention Division I safety rating, I'm very happy, especially to have gotten it cheaper here than directly from StreamLight.

I've bought about 8 of these lights, it seem everytime one of my kids use them the disappear. The LEDs put out great light, the 4 AA batteries last a long time, the light is almost indistructable, and it is really nice that the unit is sealed. Being in the repair business, I use flashlights a lot during the day and I can say this is the best flashlight ever. No more big, bulky flashlights with burned out bulbs again! These are very heavy duty and stand up to industrial use and are extremely compact and light. Put out a lot of light, battery life is exceptional. I bought 5 of them. I've had one of these for a little over 2 years, and 3 of the seven bulbs have either completely burned out or flicker. Two other ones of the same age have gotten less use, and are still fine. The feel of the flashlight is great, solid, sturdy, not too heavy. Even with the LED problem, I will may buy another one to replace it -- because this is probably the best general use flood flashlight available at a reasonable price. Most other flashlights are long throw, or spot lights. Unless you are a police officer that's probably not what you want. This flashlight has a superbly uniform (helped by having 7 bulbs rather than just 1 super bright Cree bulb for example) and broad light. It is perfect for illuminating your car's trunk, a dark closet, or to check your child's braces. Another great thing is the color -- bright yellow. Almost all other good quality flashlights are black, fine again for police officers but absolutely not what you want for an emergency light, or a light to carry in your car. The *very* gentle dimishining of the light (lasts over 150 hours at at fairly dim level) means that it will not suddenly fail on you.Customer Review: Great gift idea...and I'll never buy another flashlight

I'm amazed. Twice, this flashlight has been left turned on, under a sink or on a table and it keeps burning and burning. The depth of light is astounding. I've heard noises waaaay back against the fence in my huge yard, and shined this little flashlight from the house and been able to see in every nook and cranny. I have a flashlight-nut friend and he had a fit when he saw the light coming off this thing. I wish I had 100 to give as gifts. Bravo Streamlight.
