If I could only have one flashlight, this would be it.
I have owned mine for ~7 years. It lives on it's recharger in my pantry. It is the flashlight I reach for when I need a flashlight.
I own several flashlights, at least 2 of them were intended to replace the stinger but I ended up repairing the Stinger after I tried them a while.
It is expensive but it has been worth it. Streamlight sells parts and cheap battery packs are available. You can keep this thing going as long as you want. If you want a flashlight you can depend on for almost everything, this is it.
(If you want one you can leave in your car or carry for years and be confident it will work when you neeed it, get a Streamlight Scorpion in addition)

I bought one of these for my father for Christmas and liked it so much I bought one for myself. This flashlight is awesome and makes any other pale in comparison. From what I am told it is the new standard for the police. It is super bright and well made, a very high quality product. I dropped it on the cement twice already while it was lit and the bulb never failed. I cannot tell you how happy I am with this flashlight, a shining star indeed. If you are thinking of purchasing one I am sure you will not be sorry. I am a bit of a perfectionist and this light has exceeded all my expectations.Customer Review: Amazing

Absolutely amazing light. I'm an EMT, so I demand quite a bit from a light, and this one delivers. It has great light output, good battery life, and doesn't seem to mind being on a charger almost all the time. Recharge time is great, and the light output sure makes the cops jealous when their 4D-size lights are just about as bright.
The clip-in charger holds the light, period, no matter how many bumps my truck goes over. Best of all, since they include two charger brackets and both AC and DC cords, I can keep it either in my truck or in the closet by the front door, and it gets charged in either place. Pretty durable too - I've dropped it about 10 feet onto concrete, and it got a bit of a mark in the finish, but works fine.

Used it for several days now, I'm a maintenance technician so I use it frequently. Takes quite a while to charge initially, and I recharge it every evening. Rugged construction, lights very brightly, compact and easy to handle. Has usable light for about an hour. I enjoy using it very much.Customer Review: Awsome rechargeable

I just got this light and could not wait to test it against another very popular rechargeable flashlight I own that sounds like NAG light. The Stinger is less than half its size, weight and the Stinger is much brighter and gives a more directed beam. I compared them the other night in the rain behind my house in the woods and it is now my favorite light.
