As a construction superintendent, you need something compact but bright that won't need new batteries all the time. The Stinger is all of those things and has served me well many times during night time operations. I am a home inspector and a good, lightweight flashlight is an essential part of my tool kit. The Streamlight Stinger is so light to carry that sometimes I forget that it is in my pocket, yet the brilliant stream of focused light illuminates even the darkest crawlspace or attic. The only negative is the limited battery life with continual use, but a back up battery takes care of that problem. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Like having the sun in your hand

OK...that might be an exageration. But this little light is the gold standard in law enforcement. I used mine proudly for years in Boston. For a compact light that can be worn on your duty belt, this thing casts a beam of intense light over a pretty respectable distance. It blows away cheap immitations or generic wannabes. You'll wind up breaking and tossing a bunch of cheap lights, so spend the money once and be done with it. This light is bright, durable and rechargeable (at home or in the car). I purchased this flashlight for my husband for Christmas to replace his old policeman flashlight that finally died. It was smaller than I thought it was going to be, but my husband loves the size. He uses it all the time. Great product!
