I thought I was doing a good job of cleaning out the disposal/drain, using white vinegar and baking soda. It would foam up and seemed like it was handling the situation...UNTIL one day when I ran a disposal brush up under the rubber flaps covering the drain. O-MG! I can't even describe what I found. Mine are not removable and it was just shocking what was on the underside of the flaps.
After that horrific discovery I pulled out some of the Disposer Care packets, that I had forgotten purchasing several years before in a kit with the brush, and used one packet as instructed in the directions. Wow! Then I ran that disposal brush under the rubber flaps again and it came up completely clean. Sweet success! At that point I purchased a couple bags of the packets so I will have plenty on hand. I never again want to see what I saw that day before using Disposer Care!

I really love this product. I use other disposal deodorants like Plink! a couple times a week, which work great. But when the sink gets a bit more rank than normal (and a Plink! just won't cut it), this product aggressively foams both drains out with one application. It has a fresh aroma - slightly acidic but very subtle. I'm sensitive to perfumes, but I'm happy to report that this product is not overly scented. You have to follow the instructions to the letter. Don't rush it - let the product do it's job. My one gripe is that it's getting harder and harder to find in the stores in my area.Customer Review: Hard to find in my local stores. My garbage disposal was smelling way nasty. I didn't know what to do about it. I tried orange and lemon peels, bleach, vinegar...no luck. I saw coupons for this product sometimes in the newspaper but I couldn't find it, even at the superwalmart (for a "super" store, they never seem to have anything). It's really easy to use and I could smell that it was actually clean, not just covering up odors with perfumes/scents. To make it worth the shipping, I bought several packages of this and then I also ordered 3 of the dishwasher cleaners which also work very well by the way. That's made by Summit too. That's not a brand I'm familiar with, but I'm liking these 2 products so far.
